I have questions about a paid-off loan
When will I receive my title or lien release?
The timeline in which you’ll receive your title and lien release after loan pay-off varies by state as follows:
For states issuing paper titles and lien releases:
Titles and lien releases have a standard processing time of eight days after loan pay-off. Once processed, your title and lien release will be mailed to the address that appears on your monthly billing statement unless instructed otherwise. To avoid delays in receiving your title, please verify the mailing address on file is current. Standard mail delivery times apply.
For states issuing electronic (paperless) titles:
Connexus will notify the state of your lien release within eight days of receiving your final payment. Your state’s titling agency (ex., the DMV) will then mail you a lien-free title according to its own timeframe. For specific details on your state’s title processing and mailing timeline, contact your state’s titling agency.
Where will you send my title or lien release?
Your title or lien release will be mailed to the address on record unless instructed otherwise at the time of payoff. To avoid delays in receiving your title, please verify the mailing address on file is current. Next-day lien release processing is unavailable at this time.
Can I pick up my title at a Connexus location?
No, Connexus does not hold any titles at their office locations. Depending on the state you live in, you will either receive a paper copy of your title and lien release after your loan is paid off and processed OR Connexus will notify the state of the lien release on your vehicle, and the state will then process and mail your title to you on its own timeline.
